•Keep it clean!
Be sure to arrive with no makeup or lotions anywhere around the eye area. No mascara, no eyeliner, not even foundation around the eyes. The area surrounding and on the eyes must be completely clean. If your stylist has to spend more time removing cosmetics, be prepared to spend less time applying lashes during your appointment. Also, groom your lashes as needed with a clean mascara wand, preferably when wet.
•Double dipping!
If you plan on lash tinting or lash perming this should be done 48 hrs prior to your lash extensions appointment. (Tinting or perming of the lashes is not necessary since the extensions cover the natural lash and are curved to replicate curled lashes).
•Seeing clearly!
If you wear contact lenses, please bring along your contact lens case with you, as contact lenses can be uncomfortable while worn during the treatment.
•Skip the java!
If caffeine makes your jittery, it can make your eyes twitch. This makes the intricate application of eyelash extensions more difficult and thus more time consuming for your Lash Artist. It's best to cut out the caffeine.
•FTL-Facial, Tan, LASHES
Facials should be done before a lash extension application instead of after. Airbrush tanning should be done 24 hrs prior to your lash extension appointment.
•Escape the outside world!
Turn off your cell phone before your appointment. Phone calls and text messages can ruin your relaxation vibe and lessen your lash count. If you need to send off any last minute communication, try to get it done before your appointment time.
Please note: The most common cause of lash extensions falling out before the end of your natural lash cycle includes excessive touching, use of oil-based products, laying on excessive amounts of mascara (which requires excessive cleansing), and frequent exposure to heat sources such as spas, saunas, and tanning salons. Remember to keep your lash extensions dry for at least 24 hours after application!
